Happy New Year!

I hope everyone has had a lovely festive season ! My New Years Eve looked something like this ...

A trip to the city and some shopping in the eastern (ritzy!) suburbs. The ManBeast was in spoiling mode and bought this gorgeous cuff for me - I whipped it out of the packaging and had it on my arm in 10 seconds flat!

A wander down another ritzy street brought us to a gorgeous shop full of colour and texture. It was love love at first sight ...

So vibrant - I could have hung out there all day - especially as they had an amazing range of Marrimeko fabrics.

After a lovely wander and perusal of book shops and homewares and fun stuff we checked into our hotel and hit up the rooftop spa and pool. The ManBeast had chosen well! We meandered into the CBD and decided on an early meal at La Trattoria and enjoyed fantastic pizza and a couple of bevvies ...

Once we had eaten our fill we stumbled across the road and caught the tram that would take us to see Adelaide United play Sydney FC ...

Good game and the Reds redeemed themselves with a 3/nil win. Sorry Sydney but you were never really in the game although your keeper did a good job of keeping Adelaides score reasonably low! To celebrate we hit up pubs in the city (after a very crowded/squeezy tram ride) for a few more drinks ...

By this time all the younguns were arriving in the city to start their night out so we just meandered back to the hotel, popped the cork on some bubbly and just managed to see in the New Year before crashing out in a bed the size of a lake! Probably a little tame by many standards but an awesome way for us to kick of the New Year. It is gonna be a good one I reckon.
Wishing you and the people you care about a year full of love, fun and adventure in 2013!
