The reds are not showing up in the photos as vibrantly as they do in reality - they are actually quite bright. These enamels were all torch-fired - I just love the rustic look this gives the pieces!
This is not meant to look like some kind of internal organ - it is a wing and looks infinitely more wing-like in real life! It is quite long and will probably be strung fairly simply with one or two other components - still deciding what! All in all a very productive day and best of all, one spent with my buddy. Thank you oh whip cracking, nose-to-the-grindstone fairy - couldn't have done it without you!

Lovely colours....I look forward to seeing the finished results....How lucky are you to have your own special fairy assistant....
What great enamelling with the torch, mine haven't been as successful as yours, I'm not sure if I get them too hot.
Kath must have had THAT (studs and feathers)neckpiece on whilst she was wielding the whip!
The shapes and colours all look wonderful but its the green ones that shout out the loudest to me.
Keep working....I know the other SALA participant close to me is starting to panic - and she is off to the snow for a week soon too.

Thanks for sharing all the wonderful enamelling skills. Very COOL FUN. You know, we are quite a scary pair normally but with a blow torch in hand we are off the scale!! Look out world here comes even more beautiful jewellery!!!
