No, I am not having 70's flashbacks and breaking out the fondue ...
I have been trying my hand at beadmaking!
They are kinda small ...
and kinda crusty - but I love 'em anyway!
I have made them out of old wine bottles. I can see how people get addicted to this - there is something amazing about making the glass molten, manipulating it and then see it take a solid form. Maybe one day I will take some lessons and learn how to do it "properly", but for now I will just stick with my "kitchen table" method!

Nothing wrong with crusty! If you want them to be even more crusty you can roll them in baking soda a few times in between heating. I've never tried making beads from bottles. Do you break the glass into big shards to use?
I love how you're always trying new things which reminds me I wanted to show you the lead weight mold I got at a flea market ( for fishing) I was wondering if it could be used for a pewter mold.
They look fabulous, I hope you dont have any 3rd degree burns! M xxx
Look at them all! Marvellous!
Wow, the crustier the better I'd say! Love those recycled bottle rounds in your last post but particularly the markings on the pewter bits, fab! (note the knowledgeable jewellery terms!)
